Michael C Vince lives deep in the Heart of Texas and helps manage the family business when he’s not writing.

He will forever be frustrated with George Lucas for showing him the ever-expanding galaxy far, far away, but not sending a starship for him to get there.

He is indebted to William Shakespeare for having perfectly written every human emotion 500 years ago, relieving that pressure. As well as giving us all permission to make up words whenever we want.

He wishes Professor JRR Tolkien had lived 50 years longer, so he could’ve audited every one of the Professor’s classes.

He is grateful to Matt Fraction, Christopher Nolan, and Martin McDonagh for showing him the power of a well written story goes far beyond a chosen medium.

He is thankful for authors like Steven James who share their talent, experiences, lessons, and a few of their secrets with a kindness and generosity that he hopes to pass it forward when given the chance.

And he one day hopes to own or at least write a story about the castle he dreamt of when he was five.
